When we are not speaking, telling stories and using music and art therapy with the children and at-risk youths, we empower their teachers, parents, peers and those who serve and interact with them.
Our ‘Success Clinics’ consist of visits to homes and communities, and through a unique combination of art, music, science and faith, we effect the life-changing behaviours so desperately needed in many of our communities and homes.
We work to prevent violence and trauma that impacts children and communities. Each year, hundreds of volunteers and the core professional team travel with Love Has Hands to provide resources needed to deal with emotional, behavioural, mental and spiritual issues as a treatment to families and communities in need. We are dedicated to serving our communities and our country.
Listed in our mandate are the over thirty-eight national issues such as: anger, unforgiveness, fear of learning, greed, not resolving our conflicts amicably, violence, crime, lawlessness, fear of other people’s success, lack of respect and talks that incite violence against each other. We also work alongside guidance counsellors, social workers, psychologists, pastors and victim support experts in treating victims of abuse, trauma and other natural disasters as well as societal crises.
Dr. Jermaine Gordon has mainly sponsored our programs. However, we are now actively seeking funding by grants from the government, non-governmental organizations (N.G.O.s) from the generous support of philanthropic foundations, corporate partners and individual donors from all walks of life.
It followed a heart-breaking experience where a 14-year-old schoolboy was fatally stabbed on the public bus as he made his way home over his phone. In response, Dr. Jermaine Gordon quit his professional job and has since been working to prevent violence and trauma that impacts children and communities across Jamaica.
We are proud to say that we are rated as one of the top intervention programmes in Jamaica, with outstanding short-term to long-term outcomes though not yet officially recognized.
At the heart of Love Has Hands are people like you who are willing to get involved.

Delivering love, hope & escape
Hundreds of people suffer every day in our nation because of heartbreak, suicide, murder, hatred, jealousy, anger, greed, and abuse. Additionally, lack of proper health care, poor leadership, no food and polluted water, and they do not have the needed help to save their lives or improve their lives and communities. Children miss the chance to smile more, play more and activate the genius inside them through education, innovation, faith and a loving family.
It’s LOVE Has Hands’ mission to change that. Together we will deliver love, hope & escape to the nation. Due to COVID-19, we actively support parents, the teaching staff and those who give care to children and youths, including donations, empowerment sessions, music & art therapy, counselling and more.
